Happy Meals
We do encourage you to bring your dog’s own food especially if you feed puppy food or veterinary diet. This helps to decrease the chance of upset stomachs.

Services
Boarding
Our boarding service includes not only your pet’s lodging, but also exercise and activity time. We consider your pet’s personality and activity level as well as their likes and dislikes before assigning boarding accommodations.
For your pet's safety, our facility is monitored 24 Hours a day by a security system and video surveillance. In the event of a power outage, our kennel is equipped with a standby generator. This means your pet will never be without heat or air conditioning during their stay.

Dogs
Our facility is an indoor/outdoor style kennel. Your dog will have a roomy inside kennel that provides privacy for eating and sleeping.
A doorway opens directly to a large, private outside run. Indoor areas are heated and air conditioned as required to keep your dog comfortable. Outdoor runs are covered for shelter from sun or rain.
Whenever temperatures and weather permits, dogs have free access to outdoor runs all day. Dogs go out into one of our six play yards at least four times a day. Each dog is given a treat at bedtime.
Kuranda beds are provided at no extra cost. These are raised cots that the dogs find very comfortable. However, you are welcome to bring beds, blankets, toys, and treats.

Please do not bring large bags of food. We have limited storage space. Plastic storage containers or plastic zip bags are preferred. Please label with pet’s name and amount to feed. If you choose not to bring your dog’s food, Shoal Creek will provide a quality dog food at no extra cost. If your pet needs medication, please label with pet’s name and dosing instructions. A small fee may be applied in some cases.
Cats
Cats are housed individually and apart from the kennel area.
We provide comfortable bedding and litter boxes. You are welcome to bring your cat’s bed, toys, treats, and food. If you choose not to bring your cat’s food, Shoal Creek will provide a quality cat food at no extra cost. Cats can enjoy sitting in the window watching the squirrels and birds during playtime. All male cats over six months must be neutered.
Health Requirements
All vaccines must be administered by a veterinarian at least one week before boarding.
Although we take every precaution to protect your pet from being exposed to disease while they are at Shoal Creek Kennels, they can contract an air-borne illness from another pet. By requiring current vaccinations, maintaining proper ventilation, and practicing meticulous disinfection in our areas, we are minimizing the risk. Additionally, our staff is trained to observe your pet and recognize early signs of common illnesses. We also have vets on call 24 hours a day. It is very similar to sending your child to school: you may have seen to it that they have received that seasons flu vaccine, taking their vitamins and has had proper nutrition and rest. Despite your best efforts, your child may still contract a cold or flu, possibly a strain that was not included in the vaccine.

We understand that some pets may be allergic to certain vaccines. We do make special considerations for these pets. For allergic pets, we require a written statement from your veterinarian explaining why this particular vaccination was not given. All other vaccinations must be current. Rabies vaccinations are required by state law. All cats must have feline leukemia vaccination – NO EXCEPTIONS. We also require you to sign a waiver stating that Shoal Creek is not liable for any illnesses caused by lack of these vaccinations.
Please bring copies of current vaccinations with you or have your veterinarian phone them in to us.
